Kilmeena      6  -  13      3  -  05      Naomh Padraig

Kilmeena U15 boys delivered a workman like performance to secure a comfortable victory over Naomh Padraig in Kilalla on Sunday last. Kilmeena settled into the game very well and were 2 - 03 to no score up after 10mins with some fine scores from Sean Prenty and Ronan O’Donnell. Naomh Padraig hit back with 2 points and a well worked goal to leave the scores 2 - 03 to 1 - 02 after 15mins. Kilmeena then upped the intensity and scored 2 - 05 to 0 - 0 for the rest of the 1st half, to leave a half time score of 4 - 08 to 1 - 02 and the game over as a contest.
Both sub benches were emptied and the 2nd half was a much more even affair with Kilmeena out scoring their opponents by 2 - 05 to 2 - 03 to leave a final score of Kilmeena 6 - 13 to Naomh Padraig 3 - 05.

This was an all round decent performance by Kilmeena who can now look forward to a home county semi final v Ballinrobe next Sunday.
This was Kilmeena’s 5th straight win in this group over the last 3 weeks.
