Mayo GAA Junior Football Championship - Group 3
As expected, Achill won the group with a resounding win over Ballaghaderreen. Kilmeena needed to beat Charlestown to have any hopes of progression in the competition or, at least, avoid a relegation play-off.
Despite a large amount of possession and leading at half-time, Kilmeena were unable to hold on to their lead and secure a vital victory.
Again, we lost by the narrowest of margins, Charlestown 0-12 Kilmeena 0-11.
So three defeats in the Championship that could have been victories. We now face a relegation play-off to maintain Junior Championship status.
