Disappointingly, there will not be a charity game this year. This is due to insurance constraints imposed by the GAA during the GAA "close season".
We are, however, going to have a charity fun run/walk as an alternative event. This will take place on Sunday 28th December at 2pm. All are welcome to join in, no matter your level of fitness. Funds raised on the day will go to a designated charity as they would had we played our charity football match. Hope to see you there!
The very popular Kilmeena GAA Exhibition, featuring archives and great images from past and present, will also return for the occasion. The exhibit will again be held in the Community Centre and can be viewed after the fun run.
Kilmeena GAA wins Mayo Club of the Year.
It has just been announced that we have won the Mayo Club of the Year Award. Congratulations to everyone involved with Kilmeena GAA, all our hard work is paying off.
The judges looked at all aspects of our club, such as the work that went into the Club Development Plan, our facilities, the teams produced, including the Girls teams, and they were suitably impressed and announced Kilmeena GAA winners of the award this evening.
2014 was already a standout year, with unprecedented success for our underage teams, our 125 celebrations and the launch of our 5 year Club Development Plan. This award underlines the work that was done this year and the hard work of so many people involved with Kilmeena GAA.
So many thanks to everyone who has put their time and effort into making Kilmeena GAA the best Club in Mayo.
Club registration will close on 30 April 2014.
Players must register before this date. Parents please have your children/families registered before this date. If you have not registered then you are not insured. Any injuries suffered while playing at, or attending, St Brendan's Sports Ground will not be covered.
Please ensure you meet this 30th April deadline......

There will be a meeting in the clubhouse at 9pm on Tuesday 17 September.
