Kilmeena U12s were treated to a "once in a lifetime experience" when they took part in a Blitz in Croke Park yesterday as part of a Connacht Council GAA initiative.

Their first game against Ballaghaderren was a high scoring affair but Kilmeena won easily in the end. Kilmeena saved their best performance of the day for their second match against The Neale. They played superbly as a team and scored heavily to once again emerge victorious against a much fancied team from The Neale.

The last match of the day saw the boys take on local rivals Louisburgh. Running out winners by a few points in the end , Kilmeena under 12s secured a clean sweep in Croke Park on their first attempt !!

A fantastic day was had by all. The lads and management would like to thank the parents and supporters, Martin our photographer and Eugene our bus driver (for stopping in the right places at the right times )

We would also like to thank in a special way Kilmeena GAA club and Connacht Council for making this day possible

It was a fitting finish, to a fantastic year, on the field of play.
