U12 Boys Gaelic Football

Kilmeena V Achill – Monday 29th June 2015.

Kilmeena, playing with the wind in the first quarter, got off to a good start; scoring 1 -2 to a point for Achill.

The sides couldn’t be separated in the second quarter with each team posting 1 -2.

Depleted somewhat in the third quarter (due to injuries), Kilmeena failed to win enough primary possession; allowing Achill to get a foothold in the contest. Achill posted 4 – 2 to Kilmeena’s 1 – 1 in this period.

Going into the final quarter, Achill lead by 2 goals. Kilmeena tried hard in the final quarter but against the breeze, it was always going to be difficult and Achill outscored Kilmeena by  2 – 2 to 1 -1. 

Final Score:   Kilmeena; 4 - 6,   Achill; 7 – 7.

Well done to the Kilmeena boys – as always they gave it their all. And, congrats to Achill on their deserved win.
