St Brendan's National School Parents Association held their annual fundraiser in the local hostelry, otherwise known as "Fitzgerald's", last night, Saturday 1st March. The well attended function sporting the theme "Come Dine With Us 80's Style" provided scrumptious food and lively disco entertainment for those in attendance. Considering the active role the school plays as a local nursery to the GAA club, it was very edifying to see so many members of the GAA fraternity supporting this social event. Hopefully this function will act as a prelude to the Kilmeena GAA celebrating its 125th anniversary in the Clew Bay Hotel next Saturday night the 8th of March where all are welcome.
