On behalf of the Chairman and officers of Kilmeena GAA Club and Bord Na nÓg, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers and participants who made the Patrick Golden Memorial Under 10 Blitz a huge success.

The blitz took place today in St Brendan’s Sports Park, with over 20 boys and girls teams taking to the field to compete in blustery but sunny conditions. Kilmeena GAA extends many thanks to all the West Mayo Clubs who travelled to Kilmeena and to those under 10’s who participated with great enthusiasm.

The tournament would not have been the event it was but for the efforts of our club members who took the time to help set up the pitches, assist with car parking, provide refreshments, cater to our guests and clean up after the event.

Our thanks to those who refereed games. Thanks also to Joe Sheridan for coordinating the separate competitions.

Like any event, it is the people who give their time and effort which makes the difference.  The people of Kilmeena who gave their time and effort today definitely made the difference.

Míle Buíochas.
