The rain stayed away as Kilmeena’s U8s hosted Tourmakeady for their first match of the season on a murky Saturday morning at St. Brendan's. As Tourmakeady could only field seven players, it meant they played two games against our lads, thus ensuring that all of the Kilmeena players got to play a full game. Special credit must be given to the younger players in the squad, all of whom acquitted themselves magnificently on their very first outing for the club.
