Gaelic for Girls

On Saturday April 13th Kilmeena Ladies GAA Club will launch an 8 week programme for girls aged 9-13 years which is aimed at increasing participation in Ladies Gaelic Football.

The programme is focused on fun, allowing girls to get an introduction to ladies gaelic football in a non-competitive environment. It will be held in Kilmeena GAA club on Saturday's from 5pm-6pm.

On completion of the programme, participants are presented with certificates and t-shirts and will then participate in a fun mini blitz which takes place in Dublin in July. The cost for the entire programme is €8 (although additional costs may apply for transport to the Blitz).

Please note that players are covered by public liability insurance only. Personal injuries are not covered. Following the 8 weeks, the girls will be encouraged to register with our Kilmeena ladies football club, and those that do will be integrated into the existing teams. It is important to note that this programme is for girls who have never played football before so come along on Saturday and meet the coaches/mentors and have some fun.

Training for Kilmeena Ladies under 8’s, 10’s, 12’s and 14’s will continue on Thursday from 6pm-7pm.
