Kilmeena u12 Girls 5 – 03 St Bridget’s u12 Girls 2 - 02
The Kilmeena U12 Girls travelled to play St Bridget’s in their home ground of Kilfian GAA in north Mayo last evening, Wednesday the 10th of June.
The Game was played on a fantastic summers evening and in keeping with this theme it also lived up to be a very bright and entertaining display. The Kilmeena captain for the game was Emma Murray who as it happens was celebrating her birthday. The game was end to end stuff, with both teams giving their all, the turning point was in the third Quarter when Kilmeena Scored two unanswered goals, however it lead to a tense fourth Quarter finish but the girls as expected held their nerve and defended strongly.
