On Thursday evening 1st September 2016 Kilmeena G.A.A. Club had a very welcome visit from Liam Campion Store Manager SuperValu Westport. Liam arrived with a selection of O'Neills club gear for Kids. This was the culmination of an offer ran by SuperValu during the course of the Summer whereby a club member who made a purchase to the value of 40 euros was given a token and having collected the requisite number of tokens the Club qualified for the O'Neills gear.
Kilmeena GAA Club are extremely appreciative of this valuable, quality gear and it will be of huge assistance in the training and preparation of our teams into the future. Kilmeena GAA Club wish to sincerely thank Liam Campion, Noel Kavanagh, and all the staff at O'Connors SuperValu for this wonderful gesture, and for their support of the club in the past, and we look forward to any support the Kavanagh Group can give us into the future.
Regards.
Club Chairman Willie Keaveney.

A (agonising) narrow defeat for the Kilmeena Under 16's in the county final against Aghamore in McHale Park this evening, they lost out by one point;
Hard luck on this game but well done to the players and management for all their efforts, not just in this game but all season.

We have received notification from Mayo County Board as to our All Ireland Final ticket allocation.
As a junior club, Kilmeena GAA will receive 30 stand and 30 terrace tickets. As part of the full allocation there will be two restricted view at €40.00 per ticket per club. They are stand/seated tickets at the rear of the Hogan Stand Upper. (Similar to 2016)
As always with All Ireland tickets, demand outstrips supply, so we ask that only those who are genuinely interested in travelling to the game apply for tickets. Every year, requests are made for tickets and the club officers do their utmost to ensure all requests are met. A lot of work goes into securing tickets for club members and it is very frustrating when "hard got" tickets are not then taken by those who requested them.
To apply for(a)ticket(s), please contact a club officer asap.
Hard luck to the Kilmeena players and management team as they came up short against Louisburgh in this evening's Junior Championship Semi-Final
The team were bitterly disappointed to lose this game but they have done the parish proud to get to this stage and it is in losing that we learn more about ourselves and our team-mates. This Kilmeena team has done very well to get to the Championship semi-final and it will provide vital experience for our players.
This team is still very much in the hunt for promotion in the league and will have a lot more important games still to come this season.
Well done to all involved and keep up the hard work for the rest of the season. There was a large Kilmeena support this evening and many thanks to those who travelled to McHale Park for the game.
Best of luck to Balla and Louisburgh in the final.
Kilmeena 1 - 05 0 - 15 Louisburgh
