Parke 2-03, Kilmeena 2-25
Kilmeena u16 boys continued their good early season form with a comprehensive win over an under strength Parke side on Tuesday evening.

The 2nd half was a lacklustre affair with Kilmeena tagging on further 12 points and the hosts scoring 2-02.

Kilmeena 1 - 6 0 - 13 Islandeady
Kilmeena travelled to their neighbours Islandeady for their second fixture in the Michael Walsh league.
Played in very difficult conditions, Kilmeena gave a very good account against their Intermediate opponents. Playing with a stiff breeze in the first half Kilmeena started well, and got some early scores on the board. They were making life very difficult for their opponents, and had the Islandeady kickout under serious pressure. Good defensive work was making it very difficult for Islandeady to get scores. The teams turned around level at the break, but early in the second half Islandeady opened up a bit of a gap with some well taken scores. kilmeena got back into the game with a superb team move which ended with a well taken goal, and for the next ten minutes, Kilmeena played their best football of the game running the ball from deep, and carving out some good openings, which with better finishing would have the home lads in trouble. Islandeady kicked some good scores towards the end to leave a four point margin at the final whistle.
Scorers for Kilmeena R. Feehan 1 - 3 (1f), S. Ryder 0 - 2 (1f), A. Ryan 0 - 1 (1f).
Best for Kilmeena N. Ryan, N. Duffy, N. Feehan.
