TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR COLLECTION OF ITEMS
Kilmeena GAA Club are delighted to accept a substantial cash donation, presented on Thursday night the 19th of March 2015. The presentation was made by Mr Vincent Keogh, and Shane Keogh, proprietors of the Helm Bar, and Restaurant at the Quay, Westport to Mr Willie Keaveney the Chairman of Kilmeena Club. The presentation was made during the course of the weekly lotto draw which was taking place on the premises, and it was terrific that there was a large turnout, young and old to be part of the presentation.
In difficult financial times, it is gratifying to see business people, like the Keoghs, putting their hands in their pockets and providing much needed financial assistance to a rural club in these harsh economic times. The Keoghs recognize that the club is providing an excellent outlet for our young men and women, and that is is ordinary people volunteering their time and skills, so that these young people have a chance at developing their gaelic and social skills.
As Chairman of the Club I wish to thank the Keogh family sincerely, and I am asking the people of the parish to support this premises, be it for a drink, or food whenever you can.
Míle Buíochas.
Willie Keaveney Club Chairman
