KILMEENA GAA 125 CELEBRATIONS:
The Club wishes to thank all those who offered their assistance during the recent weekend of celebrations: Fr. Walsh and Fr. Staunton who concelebrated the Mass for deceased Club members, the Folk Group for beautiful singing, John Ryan, senior and Junior, for their musical accompaniment, the readers, servers and those who brought up the gifts. All who helped with the Exhibition and those who offered kind words of appreciation. To the many people who helped out in any way at the Family Fun and Sports Day, especially those who helped with the barbeque and organised the different fun games and skills. The Club was delighted to see such a large crowd enter into the spirit of the occasion and enjoy a brilliant family day out. Once again it would not have been possible without the involvement of the community and we are very appreciative of your support.
Walter Cox; Chairman 125 Committee.

A commemorative mass was held this evening, Friday 4 July, in Myna Church as part of Kilmeena GAA’s 125 Celebrations. The mass was in remembrance of deceased players and club members. Following the mass, those present attended the community centre to view the exhibition of Kilmeena GAA Club’s history.
This occasion was also used to launch Kilmeena GAA Club’s Five Year Development Plan. Chairman Willie Keaveney addressed the audience, detailing the purpose of the club development plan and outlining how it will be implemented.
This plan has been developed to ensure the continued growth of the club, both on and off the pitch. Sub-committees have been put in place to ensure we progress in the key areas of;
Coaching and Games Development
Club Structures and Administration
Finance and Funding
Facilities and Development
Communications, PR and Cultural
This document will be a vital tool in ensuring we have the correct structures in place to allow Kilmeena GAA to be a successful, inclusive, vibrant part of the community. Club members have worked hard to produce this plan and will face further hard work to implement the development plan.
As members of our community, I ask everyone to view this development plan. If you can add ideas or assist in developing these key areas, your assistance is welcomed. This plan will only be successful if implemented correctly; all members of the club or community are invited to contribute ideas, plans or their time to ensure the future development of Kilmeena GAA.
Copies of the Development Plan are available for all households in the community. Pick a copy up from the clubhouse or contact a club officer.
