Some photos from our visit to the local schools to present the members of Kilmeena Under 10's with certificates of achievement.
These awards were to mark the unprecedented success this panel had this year. They were competitive from their first outing. They were committed to learning the game and playing football in the correct way. They deserved the success they had this year and were a credit to Kilmeena GAA club, not just for bringing home four trophies this season but for the way they represented the club both on and off the pitch.
A great bunch of lads!

Unfortunately, despite a fantastic performance in the instrumental section of Scór na nÓg at the Connacht Finals hosted by the Claremorris GAA Club today, there was no joy for the Kilmeena foursome of Muireann, Ben, Róisín and John. However, the experience of competing in and winning the county title earlier will stand this talented group in good stead for the future. We thank them for their efforts and look forward to next year when hopefully, the achievements of the group, will encourage others within the club to put themselves forward to contest Scór in the many other disciplines within the competition in 2016. Huge "Thank You" to their tutors, John Ryan and Brian Lennon, themselves accomplished musicians in their disciplines, for their time and efforts in preparing the group for the comórtas.
A big thank you and well done to all.
Sligo were the winners in this section of the competition today.

We wish our Club representatives Muirreann, Ben, Róisín and John the very best in the competition. We urge you to come and support them in their quest to take a Connacht Title home to Kilmeena.
