"There are a few things that we need to be aware of over the coming 24 hours as club orders are coming in.
We have an allocation to fulfil up to 100% of club orders that were received for the drawn game.
Clubs received 95% of their total orders for the drawn game but this can be brought up to what was ordered initially.
As there are only two days to process Club orders, clubs should be aware that taking orders for amounts above what was ordered for the drawn game will not be possible.
At the moment tickets are not available on-line or in the usual retail outlets. This will have the effect of Club secretaries receiving orders from individuals who they have not received orders from for the drawn game.
Once we have received our Club orders, tickets can then be released on-line and through retail outlets so as to give the chance to Clubs to fulfil their orders first.
Realistically trying to process orders above the level received for the drawn game is not possible in the short time left to Clubs and ourselves".
Mayo's run in the Over 40's championship continued with a well deserved win over Monaghan in Swinford recently.
Kilmeena were well represented on the day led by team captain, Declan Ryan. Playing a major role in the victory also were, the ever youthful senior club members Pat Mulchrone, Kieran Hastings and Darren Madden(injured). While super sub, Pat Grady, displaying his football skills of old - scoring with aplomb 1 - 3 on his introduction to the fray. Not forgetting newcomer to the team, James Prenty, acquitted himself well when introduced in the second half. Well done to all.

Kilmeena minors lined out against Ballintubber in St Brendans park on a wet and windy evening in the West Mayo B Championship. Kilmeena lined out against a stiff breeze in the first half. The game was balanced enough in the first half but Ballintubber were tagging on a few scores. Then a goal by Ballintubber put some daylight between the teams. Just before half time Barry Duffy kicked Kilmeena only score to leave it 1 – 04 to 0 – 01. Kilmeena started the second half well and got an early score. After that we did not look back and ended up running out comfortable winners.
I am so proud of our guys as they played with heart and determination and no little skill. There was the largest crowd of the season in the stand and the players and management would like to thank them for their support. Roll on West Mayo Semi-final and County Semi-final. We dare to dream.

Kilmeena U13 girls played their first game of the league this evening at home to Castlebar Mitchell’s. Mitchell’s took the lead from the start and were the stronger team throughout. Kilmeena had some good individual performances led by their captain Ciara Gill. Despite constant pressure from the Mitchells forwards Kilmeena’s defence never gave up with honest efforts from Holly Barrett, Aisling Hoban, Laura Kelly and Abby McGreal. Sarah McDonald worked hard upfront chipping in with two points from play. Well done to Castlebar Mitchells.
